NUM to host Health and Safety outreach awareness campaign in Limpopo tomorrow
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) North East region will host the NUM Health and Safety outreach awareness campaign at the Ga-Malekane Sports Ground in Steelpoort Limpopo Province tomorrow. The theme of the campaign is "The stronger the union, the safer the workplace.
The event will be held as follows:

The NUM is encouraging workers and former mine workers to do benefits assessment, to register to check if they are not owed money by the mines or government. We have invited Department of Health, COSATU, compensation departments to do registration for potential claimants.
The following services will be provided during the event
. HIV/AIDS counseling and testing. TB screening and X-ray lung checking with rapid results
