The NUM has noted the judgement by the Labour Court today that balloting must held within 15 business days at Gold One Mine in Springs

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has noted the judgement by the Labour Court today that balloting must be held within 15 business days at Gold One Mine in Springs. AMCU wanted balloting to be held within 5 days, instead, the court found that a ballot should be held in terms of CCMA guidelines within 15 business days. The court didn’t give reasons for the order accordingly. It is not clear on what basis the court made the order. The NUM will consult with its attorneys on whether the order can be appealed.
