Media invitation to the NUM press briefing on Friday, 02 December 2022 at Park Inn Hotel, Polokwane

The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) will on Friday, 02 December 2022 brief the media on preparations made so far in terms of celebrating and commemorating the union’s 40th Anniversary. The NUM will be celebrating the event with its thousands of members across the country on Saturday, 03 December 2022 at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, Limpopo.

The theme of the celebration is “NUM, The Shield and Spear that Defend Mine, Energy, Construction and Metal Workers. The Weapon Used to Fight Capitalism” .

The commemoration will start on the night of Friday, 02 December 2022 with a Presidential Networking Session, a panel discussion about the history of this mighty NUM. The discussion will be facilitated by Cathy Mohlahlana, an award-winning broadcast journalist and senior news anchor for the 24 hour news channel, Newzroom Afrika.

The briefing will take place as follows:

Date: 02 December 2022

Time: 10am

Venue: Park Inn Hotel, Dorp Street in Polokwane, Opposite Peter Mokaba Stadium
