NUM RUSTENBURG REGION WELCOMES THE RELEASE OF COMRADE PETERSON SIYAYA.

NUM DEPUTY PRESIDENT JOSEPH MONTISETSE TO ADDRESS THE FUNERAL OF THE SIX MODIKWA MINEWORKERS WHO WERE BURNT TO DEATH TOMORROW.
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Deputy President Joseph Montisetse will address the funeral of the six Modikwa mineworkers who were burnt to death in a bus traveling to work. The workers were tragically killed when the bus that was transporting them to work at Modikwa Platinum Mine outside Burgersfort in Limpopo was petrol bombed. The bus was carrying 39 workers. Six workers were burned beyond recognition and the other workers had to escape through windows.

About Us
The National Union of Mineworkers was founded in 1982.

Its birth was facilitated by comrades Cyril Ramaphosa who rose to be its first General Secretary, James Motlatsi who turned to be its first President, and Elijah Barayi who became its Vice President and later the President of Cosatu in 1985 when the federation was formed. porn
