30 000 NUM members to down tools in the coal sector on Sunday
Over 30 000 National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) members will down tools from the coal sector tomorrow on Sunday at 6 pm. The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration (CCMA) issued a certificate of non-resolution to the dispute this week.

NUM NEC Press Statement

The NEC of NUM met on the 17-18 September 2015 at EBMTC Midrand Campus.The NEC focused on an array of issues which were political, economic, and about governance within unions and in society.Most importantly the wage negotiations process and retrenchments. The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) in partnership with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) will celebrate the International Literacy Day on Saturday, 12 September 2015 to be hosted at Mahwelereng Stadium, in Mokopane. The event will start at 09h00. It will celebrate the achievements and importance of Adult Education and Training in the mining sector.
