The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) and the JB Marks Education Trust Fund will hold the 7th Annual Career Expo at Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal. The 2018 edition of the annual JB Marks Career Exhibition is heading to Richards Bay from 23 to 24 April at the Zululand Chamber of Business Foundation (ZCBF). NUM RUSTENBURG REGION WELCOMES THE RELEASE OF COMRADE PETERSON SIYAYA.
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) feels vindicated by the decision of the Brits Magistrate Court that the state has failed to provide any evidence linking comrade Peterson Siyaya to the crime or any murder. It has always been our view that no NUM member is involved in the Marikana killings. In handing the judgement, the magistrate alluded that the state has failed to provide any evidence linking the accused to the crime.

NUM DEPUTY PRESIDENT JOSEPH MONTISETSE TO ADDRESS THE FUNERAL OF THE SIX MODIKWA MINEWORKERS WHO WERE BURNT TO DEATH TOMORROW.
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) Deputy President Joseph Montisetse will address the funeral of the six Modikwa mineworkers who were burnt to death in a bus traveling to work. The workers were tragically killed when the bus that was transporting them to work at Modikwa Platinum Mine outside Burgersfort in Limpopo was petrol bombed. The bus was carrying 39 workers. Six workers were burned beyond recognition and the other workers had to escape through windows.

NUM is outraged about lies being fabricated in the media after the arrest of mineworkers in Marikana.
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has noted the narrative perpetuated by some media houses about the recent arrests of mineworkers in Marikana associated with killings of other mineworkers.
